I am pleased to inform you that it is safe for all staff and students to return to Arthur Phillip High School Main Campus on Wednesday 23 May 2018. The inspections and testings that have been carried out as a precautionary measure by the Department of Education have been completed. The school will be fully operational on Wednesday 23 May 2018. NSW Police are still carrying out an investigation into the fire and a portion of Macquarie Street (outside the heritage building) will remain cordoned off by Police until further notice.
Students in Years 9, 10, 11, 12 and the Support Unit are required to return to Arthur Phillip High School Main Campus. I would like to remind Year 9 students that NAPLAN testing will continue operate on Wednesday 23 and Thursday 24 May 2018 and catch ups will run on Friday 25th May.
Students in Years 7 and 8 will continue to operate on the Eastern Campus, except their classes will run out of the Main Campus on Friday 25th May to assist with the catch up of NAPLAN testing.
I apologise again for any inconvenience this may have caused but student safety is of the utmost concern.
I would personally like to thank you and staff for your patience and support during this time.
